Garage Door Replacement

Some doors reach the point where the honest advice is: stop fixing it. Rusted-through panels, a cracked frame, hardware from the 80s, or storm damage across multiple sections — we'll tell you plainly when replacement is the cheaper path over the next five years, quote it flat, and swap the door with minimal disruption.

Call now if…

  • Multiple panels dented, rusted, or delaminating
  • Repeated repairs — you've paid for the same door twice
  • The door is 20+ years old with obsolete hardware
  • Storm, vehicle, or sun damage across sections
  • It's the worst-looking thing on an otherwise sharp house

The repair-or-replace math

Our rule of thumb: if a repair costs more than a third of a comparable new door, or it's the second major repair in two years, replacement usually wins. A new door resets every wear component at once — springs, cables, rollers, seals — and adds insulation and curb appeal the old door never had. We'll show you both numbers and let the math talk.

Like-for-like or upgrade

Replacement is the natural moment to fix what always bugged you: add insulation, add windows for daylight, switch panel style, quiet the whole system with nylon rollers and a belt-drive opener. Or keep it simple with a clean like-for-like swap. Either way the quote is itemized and flat.

What replacement day looks like

We arrive with the new door, remove and haul off the old one, set new tracks and springs, hang and level the sections, seal the perimeter, connect and recalibrate your opener, and balance-test everything. Most swaps are done in a morning — you leave for work with the old door and come home to the new one.

Common questions

Door Replacement FAQs

Can you replace just one damaged panel instead of the whole door?

Often, yes — if the model is still manufactured and the rest of the door is sound, a panel swap is far cheaper. If the model is discontinued or several panels are gone, full replacement is the better spend. We'll check availability before recommending either.

Will my existing opener work with the new door?

Usually, after recalibrating travel and force for the new door's weight. If the opener is also near end-of-life, replacing both together saves a second service call — but it's your call, never a requirement.

How disruptive is replacement?

One vehicle-free garage bay for a morning. No interior access needed beyond the garage itself, and we haul away the old door and packaging.
